– march madness 2011 –
here is my 2011 march madness bracket. i’ve got ohio state going all the way, although i don’t know much about the teams this year. in fact, tonight is the first college basketball game i’ve watched all season. to say the least, there was lots of guessing on my bracket. i did go two for two last night though.

– corn dog font –
we have a fun collection of paper food packaging from various fairs and diners. check out this amazing corn dog wrapper! we love the font made out of pieces of wood. i think it came from corndogorama, the annual music and corn dog festival in east atlanta.

– vintage cereal design –
we are big fans of vintage designs and couldn’t resist buying a box of throwback cap’n crunch cereal. the font is really amazing, as is the flat, mid-century character design. i would say nostalgia got the better of us, however, because we totally forgot how much cap’n crunch scrapes the top of your mouth.

so, part of the nursery transformation project included relocating ryan’s rather extensive record collection from the old media room to the living room. the old media room shelves now house my fabric and we got a new ikea shelf for the records…

– almost real –
i recently found myself at the bass pro shop up in gwinnett. they had some pretty hilarious dioramas, you’d think you were at the fernbank museum. they definitely wanted you to feel like you were out in the wilderness instead of a suburban mall.
